I think I need to hire a translator
It's official- I think I need to hire a translator to try and understand this generation's lingo. What was the final straw, you ask? Hearing the word rizz and being expected to understand that it meant to "have game". Help!
Don't get me wrong-my generation has foolish expressions too, but at least we use real words! No wonder people have a terribly difficult time learning the English language-it's half made up and we use many words for so many different things!
If my daughter says a sentence like, " Bruh. Girly-pop has no rizz!", I may literally pull my hair out! Where did respect for the English language go?? Why are people so lazy with how they communicate??
I'm not entirely innocent here. I have nonsense things I say with my closest people. Words and written sound effects that only make sense to us, but the day you hear me converse with a stream of made up words, to someone outside my inner circle, is a day you should worry for me.
I'm not your Bruh-I'm your Mom. No, I didn't slay the day, nor is my outfit giving vibes. Come on! Communicate to be understood, not just current.
Maybe I'm being extra, but this slang has me totes shook! Salty? Yaaaaassss! Yeet!
I quit!
