True Friendship

There is something so special about a true friendship. That kind of friendship where you trust in it and know if you talk 10 times a day, or not for 2 weeks, it's there and unscathed. You love each other unconditionally and can truly tell each other anything. Always. There is nothing you can say to them that they will judge you for, because they've likely already done the same...or at least thought about it. 

On top of all that, you are rooting for each other. There is no jealously and you never begrudge them anything. You may want something they have, but it's never a negative. It's more in admiration for it.

They see the best in you and you see it in them. In fact, you wish they saw themselves through your eyes, because to you, they are perfect. Even their flaws make them more perfect. Their quirky laugh(s), their brief fits of rage, their questionable driving...none of that makes you see them in a negative light. It only makes you love them more.

Maybe a soulmate isn't a romantic partner after all. Maybe it's our girlfriends. Maybe Sex and the City had it right this entire time. xo
