Thank you for the music

Ever since Covid, there has been such a stigma around large gatherings, but as much as these large gatherings may be the ideal venue to spread a virus, they are also so crucial to the well-being of so many.

On Friday, I attended 2 shows during Folk Harbour Festival for David Myles, Meesha Brueggergosman and Madison Violet. That evening, I attended Atay and Jax (some of the best Nova Scotia has to offer!) as well. The shear joy I felt, surrounded by amazing music, and so many happy people is unmatched!

Large groups of people aren't for everyone. I appreciate and respect that completely, but some people need to feel the energy of an excited audience. They need to hear exceptional live music, be able to sing along and let loose! For some, this is crucial to their well-being. *Raises hand*

I am so grateful for the return of concerts, fairs and any other positive events that were put on hold for so long. The world may have scary things going on, but we need to come together to celebrate, especially during the difficult times.

Thank you to the incredibly talented musicians who share their gifts with the world. I hope you know how much healing comes from your words, sound and amazing charisma! I don't think I stopped smiling all day Friday!
