The Strayboar Project

Choosing to be friends with someone who is military or ex-military is committing to accepting them for who they are, how they are. It's accepting that their allegiance, long after retirement, may very well be to helping in extreme circumstances, with no regard for their own life and all the regard for others.

One of my absolute best humans, one of my soul family, is in the Ukraine right now, helping children at refugee camps and trying to ease nerves of the community when fighter jets fly overhead, because he knows which ones to worry about and which ones are "ok".

This man. He is selfless to a fault. He would certainly give you the shirt off his back, walk through fire, throw himself infront of a bullet to save anyone. Not just his loved ones. Anyone. He is an angel of a human.

His never-ending commitment to help others is so beyond admirable. He is an absolute inspiration and proves to me constantly that we can all help, in a million different ways. That simply by showing kindness, we can help change the world.

He is also a loving father to 3 amazing boys, a husband (amazing I'm sure, and also totally infuriating), a son, a brother and an amazing friend. I don't think a single day passes where he doesn't help someone, or many someones and still keeps up with all of his commitments.
